Flexprice for Slack can make a small set of changes to your account, and none of them happen inside the conversation. When you ask for a change, the agent drafts the exact API request and posts it as a confirmation card in the thread. Flexprice sends that request only when you click Yes on the card, within 15 minutes.

Changes Flexprice for Slack can make

Everything else is read-only from Slack. Create customers, cancel subscriptions, top up wallets, and make other changes in the dashboard, or with the API, CLI, or MCP server.

Change when a trial ends

Flexprice moves the trial end of a subscription to the date you give, earlier or later. During a trial the current billing period ends with the trial, so the period end moves with it.
  • The subscription must still be in trial.
  • The new date must be in the future, and no later than the subscription’s end date if it has one.
  • A subscription that inherits from a parent can’t be changed on its own. Change the parent’s trial instead.
See Trials for what happens when a trial ends.

Record an offline payment on an invoice

Flexprice records a payment made outside Flexprice, such as a bank transfer or a cheque, against one invoice. An offline payment is marked as succeeded as soon as it’s recorded.
  • The amount is what’s left to pay on the invoice, unless you name an amount.
  • A reference you give, such as a transfer ID, is saved in the payment’s metadata.
  • The card’s ID travels with the request as its idempotency key, so the same card can never record the payment twice.
See Partial payments for invoices paid in more than one payment.

How a confirmation card works

1

Ask for the change

Ask in plain English. Flexprice looks up the IDs it needs, such as the invoice or subscription, and drafts the request.
2

Review the card

The card shows a one-line summary, the exact request (method, path, and JSON body), and the time it expires. Check the record and the amount or date. Run /flexprice status if you’re not sure which environment you’re in.
3

Click Yes or No

Yes sends the request to Flexprice. No cancels it. Either way, the buttons disappear.
4

Read the outcome

The card’s last line changes to the outcome, for example Done, confirmed by @Maya. followed by the new payment’s ID.
The agent’s reply only ever says that a card is waiting. Check the outcome line on the card to know whether the change was made.

Who can confirm a change

Only the person who asked can click Yes or No. In a channel, everyone can see the card, but a teammate who clicks it gets a private note that only the requester can answer. The change is always sent with the requester’s own login and permissions. If your Flexprice role can only read, for example all_reader, the card fails with HTTP 403 when you click Yes. See roles.

Confirmation card outcomes

Clicking a card that was already answered gets a private note that the request was already handled.

Safeguards on every change

  • Sent exactly as shown. Flexprice stores the request when it drafts the card and sends that stored request. Nothing can alter it after you’ve seen it.
  • One decision per card. The first click wins. A second click, even a fast double-click, can’t send the request again.
  • An allow-list of changes. Only the two changes on this page exist in Flexprice for Slack, and each is fixed to its kind: trial end changes only, and offline payments against invoices only. Any other write is refused before a card is drafted.
  • Same company and environment. A card drafted in Sandbox can’t be sent after you switch to Production, and the other way around.
  • Your own permissions. Every change runs with the requester’s login, so it can’t do more than that person could do in the dashboard.
  • A record of every request. Flexprice keeps each card’s request, who asked, the decision, and Flexprice’s response.
